And we continue on, when we are ready. Rest if you need to. Please.
What a fucking week, eh? Tired of hearing that? Me too. Here’s a newsletter.
WRITING/PUBLISHING/LIFE Q&A.
Q: What are the main problems you've seen with MS Word spell and grammar check? What kinds of things does it miss or want you to change that is already correct?
A: I haven’t worked in MS Word beyond formatting in quite some time. My issue, with the grammar/spell check features before AI was a thing, is being creative with my language. Half of my writings turn up squiggles, and at least 80% of that is intention, typically.
If you’re going to use MS Word, or any other word processor to draft, I recommend really understanding the application you’re writing on. Be as informed as possible and YouTube is (still) free.
Q: To use or not to use a pseudonym? That is the question. I go back and forth.
A: I also go back and forth, still! Look, the truth is… We’re all making it up. My writing name is a half-pseudonym. I’m considering a Romance pseudonym as well. My advice here is to make the best decision you can. And, if you’re hesitant about needing to protect yourself, protect yourself.
