I was (and still am) obsessed with this book! I remember seeing this book in my Elementary School Book Fair and buying it out of curiosity, glad to say I didn't regret it. Everything about this book is awesome, from the characters, to the surprises and everything else. Your book also opened my eyes to how wonderful Historical Fiction is. I read this book around 2 or 3 times, which I've never really done with any other book. Just know that I thank you from the bottom of my heart :)

[…] But one day, while on her way to school, Gerta spots her father on a viewing platform on the western side, pantomiming a peculiar dance.
